  • How do you slow down footage to a stop?

I have an animation of a spinning earth on a space background, all created in AE. I need to slow the animation to a stop, so that it serves as a still in the background for a DVD Menu. Then, once the viewer’s made his selection, the menu fades out and the spinning earth and space start up again as the Menu page transitions into the movie.

Maybe this is more information than you need. Hope it helps describe my dilemma.

Does anyone have any experience slowing down footage smoothly and than starting them up again smoothly? I’ve tried ‘Time Remap’, but I’m not sure how to do the math right to smoothly transition from real-time to a little bit slower, then a little bit slower than that, and so on.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
