  • How do you render text without jaggies?

I know this question is so simple that it should not be needed but I’ve spent a couple of hours searching for terms like “rasterize” (not listed at all) and “vector” (barely listed but not applicable) and must give up – and I searched the manual, help and two books. I’m trying to render out a track with text and an alpha channel to drop into my NLE. I can get it out but it is jaggie. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Try exporting with a “straight” alpha instead of the default “premultiplied” and turn the field renderer on set to lower field first.
If you are using an Avid NLE make sure that your import settings are set to invert alpha and lower field first.
