    Hi All,

I have a tape that was recorded with a lavelere mic. The mic was clipped to the man’s shirt so you can hear his heart beat throughout his speech. How can I remove the heart beat? I tried the equalizers and noise reduction but no luck. Any suggestions?

    Audition 1.5

    Thanks

    Clif

    Clif,

I believe the phrase is Non Illegitimi Carborundum

Getting rid of the heartbeat might be a good use of the Spectral View that Willie has mentioned a few times lately.

    Clif,

One thing to watch for, if you are getting a heart beat your gain much have really been up, or it was a combination of gain and placement … It will be a lot of work to remove it because you have to do each beat individually, but I think the only way is using the spectral view … The problem we run across is that the voice might be degraded by using the spectral view … Let us know the outcome … It might be easier if you could shoot it over …

Oops, thanks for the correction. I am trying Spectral view. I will let you know.

    Thanks,
