I recently had to throw away my preferences, and now FCP starts automatically when my Mac boots up. I can’t find in the preferences where to uncheck this–or stop this. Or is this a preference?

    Thanks!

Well, I never heard of this one. Try going to system preferences/accounts/log in items. If FCP is there highlight it and click the minus button at the bottom of the window.

Well, that was a good idea Roger, but that’s not it either. I can’t figure this one out. All I did was trash FCP preferences, which I have done before with no issues.

Now I can’t keep FCP from launching every time I boot the computer on.

    thanks… I’ll keep looking.

Anything FCP-ish in Library/Startup items. Did you trash FCP prefs manually. Is it possible that you dropped something in the wrong place when moving items to the trash?
