How do you make a Snowflake?
Posted by Joe Ryan on January 10, 2006 at 4:15 pmIt’s Valentine on a snowy day time.
I hope you guys have better snowflakes than mine. I’ve been precomposing the after effect mirror

January 10, 2006 at 4:41 pmi would make a layer of shapes in illustrator to look like one branch of a snowflake. copy and rotate that layer of shape 6 times. you get some really cool snowflakes.

January 10, 2006 at 6:00 pmRobyn’s solution is a good one for better control.
This is an EZ hack I figured out last winter. The results are respectable:
In Illustrator make a star with star tool and apply zigzag filter.A decent star to start would have around 8 radials and a small radius.
In zigzag, try both smooth and corner points. Each gives unique results. -
