  • How do you layout 11×17 with horizontal fold?

    First time “designer”
I am creating a 11×17 horizontally folded photo brochure from one piece of paper.
    SETUP – I’ve created a document 11″ wide x 17″ height, 2 pages, non-facing
PAGES – So I’m designing two “pages” (front and back side of paper). When you open up the brochure the inside pages (2 & 3) are easy to layout. The front page (1) is easy also as it is the bottom half of the first “page”. The top half of that “page” is the back cover of the brochure, but it needs to be upside down compared to the front cover. Do I design it all right side up and then somehow flip it all just before printing? How is this done?

If you are far along this project, you could do it so that you rotate the back page content in InDesign, so that half the page content is upside down. Probably easiest solution in this case.

Generally anything with fold is laid out as two separate pages and the folding method is specified when it is sent to the printer.
