For Vegas 9 use Help | About and look at the version on the about box. If it doesn’t specifically say Vegas Pro 9.0 64-bit then it’s the 32-bit version.

Windows 7 has a similar information box that will tell you (I’m on my Linux laptop right now so I can’t look) but if you look at the C: drive and see if it has a folder called “C:\Program Files (x86)”. If it does, it’s the 64-bit version. If it doesn’t it’s the 32-bit version.

Well, I don´t know in vegas 9 but en vegas 10 you can be sure which version did you start the project. When you go to program files, you can see Vegas and Vegas (64 bit), be sure of which one of those did you choose, and if you save it, it should open always in that version.

I can tell you this because I do preffer to work with 32 bit version, because there are some plugins like noise reduction that don´t work with the 64 bit version.

I have both versions here (32 and 64), but I always work on 32 bit version and until now, it never runs in 64 version when I open the files.

    Stay well man.

There’s a free utility: “belarc advisor” (https://www.belarc.com/free_download.html) that will tell you what version you are running, plus a lot more. I highly recommend it.

Belarc advisor is handy as it also displays serial numbers for most installed programs, handy if you crash your entire system and need to rebuild it from scratch.

I had kept everything in my email program which needed, you guessed it, the serial number to work. Having a hard copy from belarc was a saviour and a time saver.

OK, I checked on my windows workstation and all you have to do is right-click on the Computer in the Windows Explorer and select Properties and it will tell you have version of Windows 7 you are using and if it’s 32-bit or 64-bit.
