How do you install Cineform go pro in Vegas 12?
Posted by Philippe Orlando on June 15, 2016 at 4:51 pmHello,
I’d like to try to edit in the Cineform go pro codec in Vegas 12, but I’m not sure how to install it?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Close down Vegas Pro. Install GoPro Studio software. Start up Vegas Pro, the CineForm codec will be in the Video for Windows (*.avi) format. Use customize template, and select the ‘CineForm Codec’ from the available codec options in ‘Video Format:’. There is also an active ‘Configure’ option setting for CineForm.
Best Regards……George

Great, it worked. It’s actually called Cineform Codec, not Cineform Go Pro Codec, I assume it’s the one?
Thanks again

Glad you got it going. Yes, it is called CineForm Codec, which is owned by GoPro and comes with the free GoPro Studio application.
I normally use it to render intermediates from ProRes/DNxHD source files. I used the YUV 4:2:2 Filmscan 1 quality, although often ‘High’ quality would be plenty good enough.
