How do you incorporate a Layer Style from Photoshop in After Effects?
Hi there
Basically Ive created a composition from a Photoshop file, but then decided that I want some of the layers to be a different colour, so gone into Photoshop and used Layer Style Color Overlay to change their colours. However when I edit original in After Effects it doesnt seem to recognise the Layer Styles…does anyone have any idea of how to make AE recognise them?

Nope, you don’t. AE only supports a few layer effects and even they are quirky, to say the least. However, fill should be among them. This is dependendant on how you save your PS file (I think you need to use the “maximum compatibility” in CS, I still uses PS 7 with no problems). On the other hand you could have simply used Tint or Fill to change your colors, couldn’t you?
