How do you get this type of sporadic-like jump for text.
So I’m trying to get the effect like this video does: https://youtu.be/51BCOUsyszQ (the effect is at 0:56).
The problem is that I’m having a hard time thinking of what this effect would be called, or how to do it. I’ve been looking all over Google. Tried “jumpy text” but that believes I want text that bounces like a ball. And when I try keyframes, you see the text actually animate towards the new position instead of what I actually want it to do (to just suddenly end up in the new position without any animation whatsoever, per the video I showed you). Nothing I’ve found so far gives me the actual answer because nothing is (as usual with me and Google) having much understanding of the effect I’m talking about because I’m unsure what you would call this. I’m trying to get a sophisticated look like this down for a video I want to do, and I do need the help. Any would be appreciated.

You can do it with keyframes. You either need to use Hold keyframes or keyframe the text in it’s current position one frame before you make it move. This will cause it to snap instead of move over time.
