    Hello,
this is my first post on this forum and I need some help with an effect in sony vegas. I really have no idea how to get this effect. I’m quite new to Sony Vegas.

It’s the effect used in this youtube video (don’t mind the music)
    link
The text randomly jumps up and down, left to right real fast. How do you do this? I have Sony Vegas pro 10

I hope i’m allowed to post links to youtube videos on this forum, if not, my apologies

Welcome to the forum. It’s great to have you here.

That’s a very specific effect probably built into some NLE. There are plug-ins like Digieffects Damage or Boris FX BCC Damage TV that are designed for this sort of effect. The former only works in After Effects while the later works in Vegas Pro.

You can get close with the TV Simulator filter. Just animate the Line Sync and Vertical Sync with keyframes. You could actually apply any effects you want like Wave and animate that as well. The key here is to make animation keyframes that control and changes over time in whatever plug-in you apply.

Absolutely. We prefer to see a video of what you want to achieve rather than trying to explaining it.
