How do you export a still image in AE?
Posted by Peter Jun on December 2, 2007 at 5:32 pmI want to export a single frame to a jpg. The only image export option I see is Image Sequence but don’t want to export the whole sequence.

December 2, 2007 at 5:54 pmSorry … I just use the shortcut, so I gave you the wrong location. It’s composition>save frame as>file.

December 2, 2007 at 8:27 pmTheres also a plugin to copy the current frame to clipboard and for example paste it to Photoshop. I used it in one of my tutorials. See it in action here:

February 22, 2012 at 4:32 amGo to the frame that you want to export so that it is shown in the Composition panel.
Do one of the following:
To render a single frame, choose Composition > Save Frame As > File. Adjust settings in the Render Queue panel if necessary, and then click Render.
To export a single frame as an Adobe Photoshop file with layers, choose Composition > Save Frame As > Photoshop Layers. -
