How do I vignette?
Hi – relative newcomer to FCP here. Hope this is the right place to ask this!
I have a talking head with a distracting background that I want to vignette (subtly darken towards the edges from a preset sized oval – keeping just the face at 100% brightness).
Been experimenting with the oval shape in conjunction with Image Mask but not really getting good results.
Anyone help? -

What version of FCP do you have? If you have the latest version (FCP 5.1.2) there is a vignette filter included.
