Just like the title says, I’m trying to edit a composition which is currently one layer higher in the hierarchy while still being able to view the composition that is under it. I think its called onion skinning??..Is there a way I can do that in after effects?

And, the term onion skin refers to being able to see partially transparent layers of the frames before and after the current one, while the current one is opaque.
