How do I turn off Selection Edit Tool?
I am having a problem getting snapping to work. Or at least I think that is the problem.
Normally, when I trim or whatever, Vegas lets me know when the upper track has been trimmed to the length of the lower track, etceteras. It stopped doing that, for some reason, and so I was poking around trying to find a solution, and I pressed the Selection Edit Tool. I ‘unpress’ Selection Edit, but it won’t turn off.
How do I turn off Selection Edit Tool (and what does it do)? And how can I get Vegas to go back to ‘snapping’ when the event edges match up? Thanks.

I closed and re-opened, and it went away.
I’m still curious what it does. I did not understand the help file.

If you mean the Selection Edit Tool, it’s just another way of selecting multiple events.
You can do the same thing by clicking and Ctrl-clicking multiple events.
To disable this tool (i.e. revert to normal), press the Normal Edit Tool icon or Ctrl+D. -

The thing that confused me was that I did press it, but it would not turn off. But closing and re-opening Vegas turned it off.

Norman, it’s just the computer gremlins at work again.
Remember not to feed them after midnight or they get really nasty 🙂
