I think all you had to do was hit F12 with FCP, is there such a function in Premiere? It’s driving me crazy and I’m on a deadline. Thanks!

    Hi Luke,

If your working in Premiere Pro CC you can go to the Program monitor panel menu and deselect Enable Transmit (you can also assign a keyboard shortcut for this).

If your in Premiere Pro CS6, go to Preferences> Playback from there you uncheck your 2nd monitor. You can also go this route in CC.

I just have CS6 not CC so that option is not there, only to go to the playback preferences, which is a pain. Hmm, any other solutions?

As I stated in my previous post. CS6 does not have a keyboard shortcut to disable transmit, however you CAN create a keyboard shortcut to open the Playback preferences. Do a search for playback in the keyboard shortcuts dialog.

That will be your fastest route to enable/disable transmit in CS6.

I have just run into this problem in CS6 as well.

All was fine until I did any update a couple of days ago to try to eliminate another issue I was having. to toggle the external monitor off, I normally go Preferences>Playback and toggle my external screen off. Except after this update, toggling the monitor off does not work. I have to Quit & restart Premiere.

Is there a solution? Perhaps some permissions issue?

    Thanks for any help.
