how do I sort my sequences by date modified in premiere pro cc?
It’s been a while and I haven’t figured this out or seeing discussion about it so I’m asking you smarties for help.
Okay, so I have a lot of sequences in a bin. I come back from lunch and think, oh no, did I accidentally do an hour’s worth of color correcting in “mickey mouse assembly_14” instead of “mickey mouse assembly_15”? To verify, I want to “sort by” the date and time I modified my sequences. I have “Modification date” in my metadata display (from the “basic” pulldown), but the fields are all blank. I have no idea which sequence was last modified.
This has got to be me right? What am I doing wrong? Is there some other metadata column heading that I should know about?

yep…seems that way.
i usually put sequences that i won’t use but need to keep in a bin titled “don’t use” -
I tend to dupe/version sequences a lot and on more than one occasion I’ve made changes to the old version instead of the new version. Really annoyed at myself when I do that. Now when I dupe a sequence I’ll lock all the tracks on the old to keep from accidentally messing with it.
It’s doesn’t help the sorting short fall, but it keeps me working on the right timelines.

There may be a way to find “date created” for sequences – looking for it this morning but have not found one. The bin column by that name is blank.
Here’s what I’ve been doing as a workaround. I have a bin called “sequences-old.” So for the sequence “My Project,” I work in that main one, leaving it accessible in the main project window, but before each major revision, save a backup named “My Project 001” 002 etc in the bin. Then put a note on there (i.e. “before changing the titles to green.”
I wish I had included dates on the revisions though because that would come in handy this morning. When you get that many revisions going way back, it would be helpful especially with about 30 different past sequence versions. -
I’ve wanted this for years! It’s so basic. C’mon Adobe!????

Still no development from Adobe on this simple problem. All those metadata available but most of them are blank. Non of them carry any relevant info on creation date etc. During the years I’ve found ways of dealing with this problem, but would be nice if we could sort our bin timelines properly?
Maybe there will be a change in this decade?
