  • How Do I Slow Down A Pan/Zoom

Posted by Sully Sullivan on August 14, 2005 at 11:25 pm

I started out a photo montage with a greeting card. It was long and vertical so I zoomed into the top part and panned down so you can read the words as the card pans from top to bottom.

My problem is the pan starts at a good speed to read, then about a fourth way down it speeds up, then slows down again as it gets towards the bottom.

How can I get it to maintain a nice slow and steady speed throughout the downward pan?

    Thanks,
    Mike Sullivan

In the menu on the left-hand side, set the Smoothness (under Keyframe Interpolation) to ‘0’. If you have more than one keyframe, you’ll have to do this for each one. For future reference, setting this to ‘0’ before you do anything will avoid this problem. It’ll also set all future keyframes in the event to ‘0’.
