How do I select multiple points to stretch a section of a shape in AE?
Guys I have been following this tutorial below but I got stuck at 8:17 where this guy stretches the first letter of a text upward in a straight line…

I’m doing something similar but with a shape not a text. I have photographed an image of the project I’m working on and I have circled (in red) the points that I want to select excluding the central area of the shape. I’d like to stretch the red circled points altogether on a straight line towards the right but first I need to know how to select these circled points. The guy who made this tutorial used the letter V to make a squared selection of his letters before stretching. How do I select these points? When I try to follow his example, only point x as labelled in the image stretches, creating a distorted curved line instead of a straight line.
So guys please can you carefully explain how I can select these six points of the shape so that I can stretch them in a straight line to the right?
Here is the image of the shape below:
I know it’s probably easy but I’m kinda new to AE so forgive my ignorance…..Some contents or functionalities here are not available due to your cookie preferences! This happens because the functionality/content marked as “Google Youtube” uses cookies that you choosed to keep disabled.
