Activity Forums Adobe After Effects How do I see vector handles?

    if you are seeing points and/or vector outlines, then the paths have been copy/pasted from illustrator onto a solid in after effects.

    importing an illustrator will only allow ae to ai vectors continuously rasterize (always remain sharp), but not actually edit the vectors themselves… (unless something has changed is version 5.5)

    I downloaded the project files and it looks like he created the text in Illustrator, copied the paths, made a solid in AE and pasted the paths.

    You could also just use the text tool in AE, select the layer and under the layer pulldown choose “create masks from text”
