  • How do I Scale a model with animation?

Posted by Jason Mckee on October 18, 2015 at 6:35 pm

I’ve imported a tree that I exported from Speedtree. Everything imports fine and the animation is perfect. My question is how do I scale the tree? Every time I try it just resets because of the key frames it has. I’ve even tried adding it to a null and then scaling the null but that yielded the same results. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Howdy,

Are you scaling with the Model Tool Mode or the Object Tool Mode?

    Adios,

Just thought I’d post a reply here seeing as the OP didn’t … I realise it was last year – but that single pointer just saved me so many headaches you wouldn’t believe it. Object mode! Who’d have thunkt it? Thanks, Cactus Dan!

Sorry this is 5 years late but this just saved me so much time!! I made an animation of many objects and grouped it. I needed to scale it up, but it kept breaking. Long-clicking on the object mode button and switching to object fixed it!! Thank you.
