  • How do I reuse special effects in Sony Vegas?

I’m making a youtube video using Sony Vegas 10. In my video, I want effects such as a block showing numbers and images fading in from blue light to white light.

Right now, I have an extra project file in Vegas. I have the special effect in there and modify the numbers / images and then render and import into my main video. This is incredibly tedious.

Is there another way to do this?

You can save any custom preset that you wish. Just set your effect/transition up, then when you’re happy with it, click the save button on the top right. This will now be saved for not only the existing project but for all others.

The only thing you can’t save in a preset are keyframes. These are unique to each effect you use.

Try using the Paste Event Attributes.

Ok I have a certain text overlay and sound timed with the effects. There’s no way I can reproduce everything exactly ?
