How do I render in h.264 in Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite 12

H.264 is MPEG-4 Part 10 otherwise known as AVC/H.264 (Advanced Video Coding) so use either the Sony AVC encoder or the MainConcept AVC encoder for H.264 encoding.

So when I use one of those profiles it is already encoding in H.264? My understanding was that H.264 delivers great quality with small file sizes and fast web streaming. Is that correct?

Do you have a suggestion for a profile and settings for 720p video for YouTube? I am doing video game gameplay and I need to have small files because my upload is fairly slow, but I don’t want to sacrifice quality if it comes down to having a larger file.

Yes.

Yes.

Under MainConcept AVC there should be a template for Internet HD 720p. You can control the file size by adjusting the bit rate up or down but that should be a good starting point.
