How can I remove an effect on a clip that has transition at the in and out point? The remove effect will remove the transition (to whichever side of the clip is closest), then I can remove the effect on the clip (and then have to replace the transition).

    Is there a quicker way?

    1. Go into segment mode, select your clip, hit delete.

    2. Go into effect mode, select your clip, hit the Remove Effect button (delete may work here too).

    3. Make sure you’re position indicator isn’t near either transition and hit Remove Effect. If your position indicator is too close to the transitions it removes them first. If you’re basically in the middle it removes the effect on the clip.

Thanks for that Michael. All these years I’ve been doing a roundabout workaround.

    No problem. Glad it helped.
