How do I put different textures on an caps and sides of an extrude.
Posted by Chad Demoss on August 18, 2020 at 12:17 amI was watching a video on something else and noticed someone had 2 textures on an extrude. one for the cap and one for the sides of it. how do I do this?

August 18, 2020 at 1:08 amIn C4D S22 these are exposed in a tab but prior to that you’d have to remember them or reference the manual
You need to assign a selection to each material.

I’m still in R19 so I used the abbreviations you posted in the screengrab. the link to the manual I can’t seem to find the list of the polygon selection abbreviations. that screengrab you posted where did that come from R22?

After I posted this I was fiddling around and moved that texture to the front and that did indeed fix the issue.
