    I have lots of video that is in .mkv. Every single player i get online does not work correctly. What is a dependable player that will work for .mkv files?

    I dont use that type of file but a 2 second google search provides several options. Like VLC & Perian.

    Now because you haven’t told us what you have actually tried nobody here can be of any more help.

    There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

    I recommend VLC player by VideoLAN if you haven’t tried that yet. It’s underdeveloped and lacks a lot of bells and whistles, but the core features are very powerful considering it’s an open source platform.

    MAC doesn’t have as many available tools as opposed to Windows, where you have a lot of codec packs and also Real Player and Quicktime plugins.

    It will play MKV files

    Or get a high definition player like: EP6000B

    You can stream, BT with it

    Cuong, if you had read the two replies to the original post we both already suggested using VLC (your first link)

    Plus there is no need to reopen a 3 month old question that was already answered.
