  • How do i override the effects in one clip when effect is applied to media

Posted by Chris Morley on July 11, 2011 at 3:05 pm

I have applied some effects to a long media clip that is part of a multi-cam edit. If one of the clips from that media doesn’t need the effects that i’ve applied how do I go about bypassing the media effects?

    Thanks

    Chris.

There may be more than one way to accomplish this, but my method would be to use track FXs. Place every event that you want the FX applied to on a single track, apply track FX to that track. Those you don’t want FX applied to, place on a different track.

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. The thing is that i’ve got two media streams on one track, having just used the multicam editing tool to edit the two, so i can’t easily get all the clips (Events, to introduce the correct terminology)onto two separate tracks. There are around 50 clips per media residing on the one track.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    Chris.
