  • How do I make timeline position sync in individual edit windows?

Hiya! I recently reinstalled Vegas 7 after some probs with my computer, and noticed a change in behavior that I’m not sure how to restore:

Previously, I used to be able to click in the main timeline, and sync in individual editor windows like Video Event Pan/Crop when editing a track. For example, I’d right-click a video track and select Video Event Pan/Crop, then click at “00:00:30:00” in the main timeline and the individual edit window’s time position (where I can place those diamonds to mark parameter changes) would also change.

Unfortunately, it currently looks like I can only do the opposite: if I click within an individual edit window’s timeline, then the main window’s timeline position matches. My desired functinality is to have it working both ways.

I’ve looked in the many Preferences and checked help, but haven’t found an answer so far. Does anyone know? I’d really appreciate it, thanks!

Click the “Sync Cursor” button (at the bottom left of the Pan/Crop or FX window timeline) to enable it.
You’ll now be able to do what you want.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the help, I overlooked that control!
