  • how do I make objects blurry without using depth of field?

I need to make some objects blurry and other objects at the same distance not blurry. I would just make two separate videos but some of the objects will animate in front and behind the non blurry objects. Or is there a way of excluding objects from depth of field?

haven’t heard of any render engine that will allow you to exclude an object from DOF I would think compositing in post would be the way.

    thanks Brain

I have rings that go in front and then behind of the blurry spheres so I cant do it in after effects without a lot of work. I don’t really even want depth of field just some objects blurry and some not.
