    Hello!

my lights work great in octane when they are outside of a geometry, however |I am attempting to light the inside of a sphere, octane seems to not calculate light interactions within a geometry interior by default

how can I make lights work properly within a geometry when using octane in c4d?

Do you have any holes or transparency on the sphere? or is the camera and light source inside of the sphere? I’ve never used octane but it should work the same as the others. What exactly are you tryin to accomplish?

These examples have point light inside a sphere.

One of them has a noise node hooked into the the opacity channel. The other just has some deleted polygons ( one affecting the volume and the other not)

maybe reverse the normals of the sphere?
