To whom it may concern. I am very jealous of my colleague who uses digital fusion for this one reason. It has a camera shake effect that duplicates edge pixels of the effected image while it automatically wobbles around convincingly, according to parameteres you can set.. This delviers far superior quality than zooming in and animating a camera without going beyond the boudary of your images. I was wondering what techniques/plugins aftereffects has thats similar?
Thanks in advance for your reply and advice on how to create good camera shake.
    Sincerely

There’s a tutorial by Scort Frzzle on using Motion Tile with mirror edges:

Read this thread i started, it’s about shooting on a rollercoaster, gives you great camera shake 🙂

But seriously, i achieve pretty good shake simply by scaling up the video by about 5 to 10%, then simply apply the wiggler to the position property. Reapply it to the rotation property helps too.

my fave is using motion sketch recording at 25 or 50%. Shake the mouse around. Playback with motion blur. Or obviously track real footage that was shaking and apply that data to your layer.
