  • How do i make a circular brushed metal texture

    Hi guys

    I am trying to create an image in C4D, which has the below-brushed metal texture, and i cant figure out how to create the texture. I have a circular disc, which i have cut out (de-bossed) from within it…my logo.

    Can anyone advise what i need to do to create the texture?

    Thanks a lot

    There are two ways you can do it:

    1. Use the reflection channel with a Type: Anisotropic layer. There are a lot of settings to play with here but it can produce a very nice result with some trial and error;

    2. Use the Effects>Lumas shader in a material’s luminance channel with the Anistoropic option turned on. Again, there are a number of settings and it takes some experimentation. This is less realistic than the reflectance option but it renders faster.
