  • How do I make a character walk using expression?

I have made a stickman figure, using three layer (in Adobe Illustrator) and import into After Effects, they are Right Leg, Left Leg and Body(which include hands)

How do i make the character walk from point A to B.
My plan is to let the right leg looping
from 0 to 12 degrees at a time of 0.4 seconds (aka 0.4*29.97 frames= 11.988 frames). [While left leg doing the exact opposite, aka 0 to -12 degrees at a time of 0.4 seconds)

My looping duration ends at 15 seconds.
    Is this plan correct?
[Point A to point B is a straight path)

I think I need to use time remapping and expression altogether, but I don’t know how to write the expressions, please help, thanks.
