    Premiere 2.0
    working with hdv
(I know the GOP ect may be an issue for frame accuracy-I don’t care about that at the moment-rougher edits can be fine).
I have a clip of a sporting event.
I want to cut out parts of clip where ball is dead (as if I were editing out commercials) in the timeline (razor clip or the like).

I want the remaining pieces to serve as timecode so I can recapture (batch preferrably) the pieces as individual clips. This way I have all the hdv footage I need and none that I don’t want so I don’t have to worry about re-recompression when using clips in another program that creates (red-laser)hd-dvd disks (I can append the clips together in it).

in other words: similar to interactively setting in and out points in the capture window and logging the in/out points by physically forward rewinding tape creating scenes to be batch captured,
how can I do this “offlne” with a single captured clip in the timeline (ie how can I set multiple in/out points on a single clip to serve as in/out points for batch capturing multiple clips from corresponding time code logs. (without having to manually scrub timeline and record with pencil and paper)?
Any way I can do this activity would be great-it seems so simple, I don’t know what I’m missing except I’m new to this type of workflow.
    Thanks for any help!

I’ve figured out one discombobulated workflow method.
I capture in dv format the tape into my old computer with Premiere 6.0.
I edit the sd version with razor cuts and then use the dandy premiere 6.0 utilities trimmer to create a batch list of the pieces cut from the clip.
I now have a batch list of the time codes I can import to my HD editing computer to batch capture.
The PP2 program manager is worthless in this process. If Adobe had kept the old program trimmer I would not have to capture the tape twice!
