How do I know which Setting to use for capture?
Hi,
I’m new here and here’s my first question:
I’m editing something I didn’t shoot, and I’m not sure which setting to use for capture. looks like it was shot 16:9 and in the camera monitor it comes up letterboxed. Should I be using Anamorphic 16:9 which shows it as letterboxed in the preview? Or should I use the standard DV NTSC?

Do you know for sure it’s DV? Could it be HDV? Is there no way to call someone to ask?

Also, what version of FCP are you using? It makes a difference with regard to getting a proper answer.
