First I put the background (in this case your tree)on the bottom track;
Then I put each picture on a track above the background, pan/crop to get the part of the picture I want, then on that picture’s track, I use the track motion button to size the picture and move it to where it should be positioned on the background. Can also add borders and shadows for extra effects;
Do this for all the pictures on seperate tracks above the background and positioned where you want them on the background.
When done, I have all my pictures on the background and I save it as a .veg file.
In my main project, I bring in this .veg picture file and simply use pan/crop to move across the background with the pictures on it. All the pictures are in position and it works well.Good luck.
