  • How do I half render (Green Line) only

Hi… I have a sequence in which certain parts look much better when they are preview rendered only (green line), I would like to make all of these parts rendered in this way but can only seem to render them fully or not at all…

Any Ideas on how I can do this?

    Thank You

Bottom line: If it looks better unrendered (at preview quality) then you are doing something wrong …

You might want to post details about what it is you’re doing and what it is about the full quality render that detracts from the look you’re after.

All that said, you could change the render resolution to 50% (of sequnece frame size) in the Sequence Settings… window >> Render Control tab … but I don;t know if that will give the result you’re looking for

Yeah I know… It looks better because it makes it look wrong and crazy when its half rendered, and for this particular project it turns out that that is pretty cool. 🙂

I will try your suggestion, thank you.

I had this situation when doing some pan and scan on hi-res pics, green line looked lovely, render it out and I got horrible shimmer and flicker, tried all manner of stuff (blur etc.) but still green line looked better…..
