How do I go back to FCP 7

I don’t know why you don’t have it, but I believe you don’t. Here’s someone else who has gone through a similar experience very recently.

They DID find it in the Studio folder in Applications. Its been a long time since I’ve done it personally, but as far as I know the install only replaces the icon on the dock and installs X to a separate folder. Why yours is not there, I can’t say. What version of OSX are you using?
