How do I go about these Multiclip Settings?
Hi everyone!
I’ve got a new project which requires me to use the FCP multiclip application and I can’t wait to use it. The problem is, I need to find out what to do in order to run my footage at a RT speed rather than have it stutter all the way through! I’ve tried lots of different methods but I figured that if I give you guys the details, you’d be able to find me a solution straight away due to you understanding speeds etc. etc..
Footage: Shot at HD 1080p25 with up to 9 different angles.
Preferably G-Raid Drive as scratch disk: Firewire 800 Type – 2x SATA II – RPM – 7200 – Cache – Up to 32MB per drive
or
Macbook Pro as scratch disk: Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz Memory: 4GBI made sure to set Multiclip playback in FCP and both dynamic qualities and Unlimited RT.
Is the G-raid fast enough to run the footage? Would the Macbook even be fast enough?
Just three videos in a multiclip with the Mac running as the scratch disk left it still stuttering.Would it be best to convert the footage? Maybe my sequence settings aren’t right?
All help appreciated! Thanks guys!
Josh.
