  How do I get white to knock out to a background color for a PDF?

  Customer is confused on why there is white ink on a KDF. I stated that it is not, that the KDF BKGD color is for a visual and the white will knock out to that color when printed. The issue is, I do not have the time to manually knock out all the white, is there a setting I can used to output all white as knock out to the BKGD color I am using? I don’t want to change the art to the BKGD color as if someone else packs up the job they may send the wrong file. I have been using Illustrator for years and have always had to use a different software to accomplish this task. I don’t have access to that software anymore. I am using CC17 but have up to CC 19.
