  • How do I get out of the ‘grab-hand’ mode?

Posted by Al Jubra on March 19, 2009 at 5:00 pm

I just opened InDesign CS4 for the first time to create a document and make a master page (following a video tutorial).
Whatever I did it turned the cursor into a ‘grab-hand’ and I cannot find a way to go back to choosing the pointer to select things.
Can someone please advise me how to get the pointer back, thanks.

I have CS3 so maybe your problem is more than I realize.

Solution 1 – click on black arrow in the toolbar
    Solution 2 – press the “v” key
Possible Solution 3 – check that your keyboard is working correctly. If you hold down the space bar, you get the hand. Is that key stuck?
