  • How do I export a composition to a Still Image?

Posted by Beau Brotherton on August 30, 2007 at 6:38 pm

    Hello to all,

OK, I am very new at AE, actually this is only my second time to try. I have imported a logo of this company I am editing for, and I have successfully removed the white background on the Logo.

How do I export it as a HighRes tiff or tga or any other still image. I keep running into exporting it as a movie file w/ timecode.

I know that this is an easy one but I just kind seem to figure it out.

    Thanks for your help.

    Beau

From the “Export a single frame of a composition” section of After Effects Help:

    1. Go to the frame that you want to export so that it is shown in the Composition panel.

    2. Do one of the following:
    * To render a single frame, choose Composition > Save Frame As > File. Adjust settings in the Render Queue panel if necessary, and then click Render.
    * To export a single frame as an Adobe Photoshop file with layers, choose Composition > Save Frame As > Photoshop Layers.
