  • How do I enlarge a fill pattern?

    Hello,

I have a question, to which I hope there is a simple solution. I have been trying to do this for a while and can’t seem to find a way. I am making an album and need/want to use pebbles as a background fill for the images on one of the pages. I have found pebbles pattern in the “fill” section. Only they are tiny. When I zoom in they actually become the size and look that I want. The problem – I don’t know how to enlarge that image fill. Can any one help?

    Thanks a million!

Use the adjustment/fill layer (4th icon on the bottom of the layers palette) and choose pattern, do not use the fill command.

Double click on the pattern adjustment layer, and you will get the scale dialog. You could also scale the layer, but I find the pattern adjustment layer to not slow down your computer and give you better control over editing ability. For example you can click and drag to move the pattern around and it still tiles perfectly.
