  • How do I embed multiple language captions into a WMV file?

Posted by Simon Malcolm on October 17, 2011 at 11:51 am

    Hi there,

This question may be completely ‘out there’, but is it possible in a Mac environment to do this – to embed multiple language captions into a WMV file?

Does any one have any clues?

    Thanks,

    Simon.

I don’t believe so. In your sequence you have more then one dialog track and the viewer selects which one?

    Like a multi-language DVD?

    Hi Simon,
i’m not any expert on WMV, but being not possible to pass even TC, I doubt very much you can keep the CC track.

Does quicktime pro have a function for this? I thought it might, for one track, don’t know about multiple ones.

One app that does this for QT files is iSubtitle from Bitfield.
Don’t know about WMV files however. If your looking for something more robust check out MacCaption.
