Hello, I have a question about something I want to use in an animation I am making with After Effects.

I want to use the brushtool to draw items but I wanted the lines to look just about the same as the ink lines you have in Illustrator. In other words, rough edged lines that I can bend and animate further. I do not want to make it frame for frame with Illustrator. Is there a way to import that brush to After Effects?

How can I make those lines in After Effects?

Check out this tutorial. It’s on chalk lines, but the same principle would apply.

using a write on effect and a noise alpha plug on top if it can be a quick and dirty way to get the same general look…
