How do I cycle through FCP tabs?
Posted by Citylifejc on July 15, 2006 at 6:18 amIs there any key/shortcut to cycle though tabs in a Final Cut window? I’d be able to move a lot quicker if I could quickly tab thru to the filters or motion tab, or switch between several open sequences, but have never been able to find a keyborad shortcut, or find any command that was mappable.

July 15, 2006 at 8:37 pmOh, the TABS! Yes, that would be nice. Still, I love finally being able to cycle windows.

July 16, 2006 at 11:15 pmWouldn’t it be even nicer if the window under the cursor would always be the frontmost, automatically. To me, there are so many extra double-clicks onto a back window to make it active when editing.
At least that is what I would like.

Oooh, that would be waaay tweaky for me. Rarely do I click to select the window, I usually use CMD 1-4 to get to the window I want. Keyboard shortcuts all the way baby!Kevin Monahan

September 14, 2006 at 11:25 amHi!
I am a premiere pro 2 editor, now learning FCP (its amazing how similars they are; i guess premiere guys copied FCP interface) and i would like to know if there is any way to put the effects tab in a separate window. Yes, I know i can drag the tab, and a separate windows appears, but it disaapears as soon as i double click any other clip. It just returns to the viewer as a tab.
… and… is there any way to view a clip in the viewer with just one click, no double click? I just wanted to select clips in the timeline (one click)and see the it
