how do i crop or feather edges?
My problem is this. I recently taped an interview but in the top right hand corner there is a lens flare. So what I planned on doing was putting the video on two tracks. I wanted the first track to be used for a matte where I would use the pan/crop tool, focus in on the background canvas and then move it to cover up the lens flare. The problem with this is that when I cover up the lens flare, there is a hard black edge that I need to either crop out (which doesn’t seem to work with the pan/crop tool) or feather the edge so that it disappears. Does anyone know how I can do this? I remember there was a plugin for cropping but I don’t remember where it is.

in pan crop expand PATH .. use the anchor creation tool to cut the hole ( cut out lens flare) in the frame .. then use feather type and feathering to soten the edge …
or you could use the cookie cutter to cut hole in frame …
