how do i create animated stars like this
Posted by Tim Deckers on April 21, 2010 at 11:51 amHi there,
I need your help to create a motion background that has to look like this
https://www.timdeckers.de/cow/sample.jpgstarting from a blank background, exploding the stars, until they have reached a similar position to the sample and the the starks and their trails are just rotating w/o changing their position.
Anyone got any idea?

April 21, 2010 at 4:05 pmCheck out this post from this thread
https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/938217And this is nuts!
https://www.trapcode.com/journal/2010/2/22/p2-street-tests-by-najork.htmlYou can use the built in Shatter effect in AE to do some simple 3D extrusions like superman type text, but not with the curve you’re looking for.

April 21, 2010 at 6:20 pmDepending on how much the camera moves in 3D space you can choose your weapons. If just a little, a mere simulation of 3D, then you can use vector art and animate masks and layers. If it’s more than that, Particular, Invigorator, Toonit in a number of combinations will do it.

April 22, 2010 at 8:50 pmWell, here it is.
5 nulls linked to star point, few solids linked to nulls (trails), nested and Bezier Warp.
And here is AEP:
https://www.megaupload.com/?d=WMVO0BTZ
You can tweak stroke width, colors and cycling, everything is in solids so no files needed. Project is 1920×1080, AE CS4 (it seems Youtube distorted it somehow).Pozdrav.
P.S. My first post too 🙂

Sometimes you can’t see what is right in front of you.
I solved it with trapcode particular.
Funny how easy to do it your way.keep on creating

April 28, 2010 at 10:14 pmMato, this is definitely great tutorial material. You should put one together. Definitely thinking outside the box. I don’t think I’ve ever used the bezier curve, but I’m using it now! I’m not great with expressions and that’s the only part I’m not understanding.
