    I have a photo of some stylized roses and I want to make a transition where each piece (petal in this case), outlined in black, flurries into frame and builds an image piece by piece…

    Does anyone know a good tutorial that is similar?

    I tried searching the internet, but my lack of proper terminology keeps me from finding what I need.

    I have AECS4 (Master CS4), plus the Trapcode suite, if that helps any…

    I’m not sure about an automated method, but I would approach this but cutting up the photo into separate layers in PS and the animating them in AE. You’ll have to do some paint work on the originally obscured petals as well. Good luck!

    Thank you for your reply! I’ve been doing some searching, and found that I am going to try to create a custom shatter mapfrom the image and do it that way, in reverse of course… now I am just trying to figure that all out.
