  • How do i color correct the sky to be blue?

Posted by Matthias on December 19, 2005 at 4:49 pm

I have some DV footage i shot and in the shots the sky is almost the color white, is there any way i can color correct it to be blue in premiere pro 1.5. If some one could help me through the steps of color correcting the sky to be blue it would be greatly appreciated?

    Thanks

If the sky is white you have nothing to CC so you need other options.

You could try overlaying a blue grad with opacity

or try keying in a blue if the white will luma key out

or try a garbage matte with a grad blue layer beneath.

on this site there is a sky replacement tutorial.

do a search, if you can’t find it, let me know, I’ll send you the link.

If it’s mostly white, it’s gonna be easy

I loved the sky tutorial i tried it out and it worked beautifuly but the problem is i have several shots that need that done. I would like to the sky replacement thing except i dont want to pull each individual shot in and export each out seperate. I want to be able to import my edited premiere pro 1.5 project into AE 6.5 so i can do it to each shot individualy and then export as one. but everytime i import my ppro project into AE, AE freezes. If any one could help me on that now i would be set to go
